Well, I just did something extremely stupid. I was out walking and there was an older man walking his puppy. I put my hand out to let it sniff me and as I pulled my hand away, it jumped and bit me on the arm. He barely broke the skin but it's bruised and a bit swollen. It didn't look that bad when it happened so I never got his name or address. I come back home, wash it in peroxide but Mom sees and goes into a tizzy. I go back out to see if I can find the man but he's home already which narrows down where he lives. Another neighbor who knows me said it didn't look too bad, to keep it open, rinse with peroxide and use neosporin. No need for the ER unless the swelling gets worse. I shall keep you all updated!

ETA: Went and got a tetanus shot as it is recommended for dog bites if you haven't had one in at least 7 years. Mom called around and found the guy's name and phone. He rents so it's a cell with a NJ area code. Called and left a message because he should pay for the shot. Anyway, that's where it stands now.

Current Mood: stupid

Ouch, a tetnus shot? Bummer. And I think you should not pursue your left-handed photography career. Hope you feel better.

It looked much clearer when I took it. We found out where the guy lives so I'll talk to him about paying for the shot. As for the area around the bite, the skin is a wee bit tender so I'll be putting a bandage on it overnight
