Another Quiet Day
Slept in and caught up on some viewing that is piling up. I did see the semifinals for Eurovision. It's a very weird thing for a Yank to watch. The two songs I really like so far are from Armenia and Portugal. (Don't spoil me please about the final!) I have piles of DVDs to go through and I think afterthe season finale of "24" tonight and the season finales tomorrow night of "NCIS" and "The Mentalist", I'll have the time to catch up.

The Mets are still in first place despite losing last night so we'll just have to hope they have LA's number because then it's on to Boston.

As I mentioned before, I'm revamping my icons and included some more of the "lesser" fandoms before entering the "Big 3" of Doctor Who, Torchwood and Life on Mars. It should come out to 30 icons each.

The stitching is moving very slowly and I'll try to get a picture tonight or tomorrow.

Honey, you do whatever you want with your icons. Instead of watching so many DVDs, I think you should scan some family photos. But that's me.
The quote has to be Kate from The Taming of the Shrew.
1. Hee hee, I've Got You, Babe. Please tell me you're listening to UB40, not Sonny & Cher
2. Different Drum, the Stone Ponies featuring Linda Rondstadt. (Yes, yes, written by Michael Nesmith, cause I know you'd go there next.)
3. Night and Day, Cole Porter
5. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, U2. I think I've heard of them.

Yes on the quote. Yes, it's UB40 with Chrissie Hynde. I might have brought up the Mike Nesmith thing, not sure. This "Night and Day" is sung by Fred Astaire even though I do have other versions. Wow, I didn't know you knew such an obscure Irish band.

#4 is a song from the 40s.

#4 is that song about the Ritz that's in Captain Jack Harkness! Angels Dancing at the Ritz?

(Okay, so I had to use Google to check I wasn't out of my mind, but I did know before I did that.)

"A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square". I wondered who would be the first to make that connection.

Yeah ... kind of obsessed with all things Torchwood at the moment. So if there's a connection to be made, I'll make it. ;-)
